Special music this summer planned

St. Paul Lutheran Church, 121 S. College St., Newcomerstown, has announced the following people will present special music this summer and fall. Everyone is welcome to join them at the 10:30 a.m. worship service, to hear these musicians sing and play their praise to The Lord.

Violinist coming to church

COSHOCTON -- The Roscoe United Methodist Church music department announces that on Sunday, Oct. 25, violinist Jaime Jorge and Timothy Noble will be making a return visit to the sanctuary for a 3 p.m. concert.

When they duo were here together this past March 1, there was a bad winter storm and just a few were able to attend.

They are hoping for a huge crowd. Save the date! Roscoe UMC is located at 475 High St. (Roscoe Village), Coshocton.

Spirit of Leadership talk set

The Spirit of Leadership talk by Brent Heishman, with special guest Andrew Leakey, founder of incourage Ministries from Bath, England, is set for Mondays, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Victory Assembly of God, 311 S. College St., Newcomerstown.

AWANA to start Sept. 2

FRESNO -- AWANA, fun for kids 0-18, at the Chili Crossroads Bible Church starts Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Church to show movie

First Baptist Church, 135 S. River St., Newcomerstown, is showing the movie "Fly Wheel" on Aug. 23 in the fellowship hall of the church.

This is a 2003 American Christian drama film about the unexpected pitfalls that a used card dealer can expect to experience if he suddenly goes honest.

Come enjoy pizza with us before the movie at 5 p.m.

Spaghetti supper set

Calvary United Methodist Church, corner of Heller Drive and State Street, Newcomerstown, will have a spaghetti supper on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The menu includes: Spaghetti, salad or applesauce, bread and butter, homemade desserts and drinks.

The cost of the meal is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 4 to 12, and free for those children ages 3 and younger.

Praise in the Park set

Peoples Community Church will have its annual Praise in the Park (Cy Young) on Sept. 5 starting at noon.

They will have music by Bob Casterline, Ron and Maggie Stowers, and Kathy Stevens.
