DOVER -- An afternoon of fun at the Norma Johnson Center is planned.
They will be hosting a "Fall Fest" event on Saturday, Oct. 10 from noon to 5 p.m. The activities will take place at the picnic shelter located on Conservation Drive across from the red barn and along the NJC trails. Those attending will have a chance to paint pumpkins, make scarecrows (bring your own clothes to stuff), go on a family hike through the woods while stopping to make a variety of fall crafts and snacks along the trails, petting zoo, nature music by Magical Mark, petting zoo and Passport to Fishing program along with other great activities will be offered. If you would like to participate in the fishing activity bring your own pole. We do have some poles available if you forget. There will be a $5 donation/car upon entering otherwise there is no charge for the event but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
This event will not be cancelled if it rains but activities will be downscaled and take place in the red barn on Conservation Drive. Questions about the event can be answered by calling the NJC director, Marsha Zoller, at 330-339-7976 Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
