Leaf pick up

Newcomerstown village residents are asked to bag their leaves and place them on the curb. The Newcomerstown Street Department will be through to collect the bags. Leaves will be collected until Thanksgiving.

Fall Sports Awards program

The Newcomerstown Fall Sports Awards program will take place on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in the high school gym.

Participants for this past season will be honored.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will be performed at Ridgewood High School on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. This is a show for all age groups. (Note this is a re-scheduled date.)

Poinsettia sales

The Newcomerstown Rotary Club would like to thank everyone for the support of the poinsettia sales over the years, but they will not be selling the flowers this year. This has been a long-standing Christmas tradition for the club and it has helped support many of the projects in the village and beyond.

Rotary will have a new project coming up early next year.

department closed

The Newcomerstown Water Department Office, 777 E. State St., Newcomerstown, will be closed Friday, Nov. 6 for repairs and updates.

Retirement

dinner set

The Kurz-Kasch monthly retirement dinner is set for Nov. 11 at 11:30 a.m. at April's Country Kitch'n in Newcomerstown.

Round, square dance set

A round and square dance is set for Saturday, Nov. 14 from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Tunnel Hill Community Center, Stone Creek.

The cost to enter is $6 per person.

Craft bazaar set

The eighth annual craft bazaar at the Newcomerstown Churches of Christ in Christian Union, corner of State Street and McKinley Avenue, Newcomerstown, is set for Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be a lunch stand, baked goods, homemade vegetable soup, along with sandwiches and desserts.

LPDC meeting set

The LPDC meeting for the Ridgewood Local School District has changed from Nov. 18 to Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. at the Administration Building, 301 S. Oak St., West Lafayette.

Meet the Team/Soup supper set

The Winter Meet the Teams will be on Friday, Nov. 20 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Newcomerstown High School.

They will be recognizing the boys's and girls' basketball teams, and the wrestling team.

Prior to the event, there will be a soup supper. The meal will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost of the supper will be $3 per person. The soup supper will run from 5 to 6 p.m.

Fall Gala planned

The Newcomerstown Senior Center will have its third annual Fall Gala on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the senior center, 222 Bridge St., Newcomerstown.

There will be crafts, home decor, baked goods, food stand and more.

Thanksgiving feast set

The annual community Thanksgiving, sponsored by the Newcomerstown Ministerial Association and with all donations raised going to Journey's End Ministry, will be Sunday, Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. with doors open at 4:30 p.m. in the River of Life at Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown.

Parade entries sought

Entries are being sought for the 2015 Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce's annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Line-up is at 4 p.m. at the Cy Young Park and the parade moves at 5 p.m.

Santa will be at the East Elementary School immediately following the parade. There will be treats and refreshments.

Ladies' Night Out set

Relay For Life's annual Ladies' Night Out is set for Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church, Newcomerstown.

It's a great evening of fun for a great cause. Relay For Life teams up with over 25 vendors to get your Christmas Shopping started. There will be lots of raffles, door prizes, vendor cash-n-carry, food and lots more.

There is a $2 entry fee that gets you your raffle ticket.

Exercise available

Tunnel Hill Community Center, 112 E. Maple St., Stone Creek, will be open on Tuesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. for walking, exercise, playing cards, or visiting with friends.

Single moms group

Are you a single mom who needs a break, some answers, hope, wisdom, help? Join the Single Mom's group meetings on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. at RaChard's Coffee Cove, 209 W. Main St., next to the Feed Barn.

Based on the book,"Hope and Help for the Single Mom," The 21 Principles of a Healthy Single Mom written by Lori Little.

The series is sponsored by the Victory Assembly of God and is free of charge.

The Newcomerstown Public Library now has notary services available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The services are free of charge.

TOPS meets on Tuesdays

Christ's Kitchen

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
