Medi-Wise Pharmacy announces its groundbreaking educational classes available to patients and the community.
The pharmacy will begin offering the Sweet Spot: Diabetes Education Class, and partnering it with new technology.
Their first class will be on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. in the Newcomerstown Library Annex.
In this class, attendees will learn about fighting fatigue and discuss ways that they can speed back up.
The Sweet Spot class will occur each month and focus on different topics related to diabetes. Participants will gain knowledge about how to manage their diabetes, and will be able to gain access to healthy recipes, exercise videos, and the ability to track their health and exercise goals. Patients living with diabetes and those with family members who have diabetes are encouraged to attend the classes; however, the event is open to everyone in the community.
In addition to the diabetes education class, the pharmacy will launch a heart health solution, The Beat that focuses on patients living with high blood pressure and more. It will begin in the month of December.
The new service will be run by the pharmacy's clinical services department who are in charge of the R.U.N.-Sync Program, Immunizations, and Wellness Programs. Contact the pharmacy at 740-498-6337, option 9, to find out more information about the classes and upcoming class dates and times.
