Once again this year, the students at the Newcomerstown Middle School participated in Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan's Purse. Students collected items in their homerooms or packed shoeboxes at home. Each box will be delivered to a child ages 0-14 around the world. Many of these children live in war torn regions and under poor conditions, and for many of them, this is the only gift they will receive in their entire lifetime. The students and staff have been taking part in this PACCT activity for over 15 years now, and this year, they packed a total of 20 boxes. It is amazing what a simple gift of kindness can do in the world. Each year students are amazed at how sending a toothbrush, toothpaste, pens, pencils, and other school supplies can change lives.
