Jim Wolff of Newcomerstown is seen holding a lighted, musical nativity that he purchased for his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wolff for a Christmas present 62 years ago (December 1953). Jim said he purchased it for $9.95 which at that time was good deal of money. Jim saved the money from working on his paper route. He said he purchased it at the Gray's Hardware which was formerly located on Main Street in Newcomerstown (where H&R Block is now located). Jim said the nativity was displayed every Christmas by his parents until they passed away. In later years, Jim was given the nativity when the family was dividing his parents's belongings. He and wife Judy display the nativity every year.
