Bake sale set
The Newcomerstown Senior Center is extending an invitation to come and enjoy its bake sale and lunch stand on Friday, July 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will have some great baked goods and plenty of food.
Retirement luncheon set
The Kurz-Kasch retirement luncheon will be Wednesday, July 13 at 11:30 a.m. at April's Country Kitch'n in Newcomerstown.
Fall sports meeting
Here is the schedule for the beginning of Fall sports athletes at Newcomerstown High School and important dates: July 21, Mandatory Fall sports meeting at high school gym at 6 p.m.; Aug. 1, first official practice for all Fall sports; and Aug. 12, Meet The Teams at high school gym at 6:30 p.m.
Biddy football camp
The Newcomerstown Biddy Football Camp will be July 21-22 at the high school football stadium from 5 to 7 p.m.
Any child who is entering grades kindergarten through fourth grade can participate.
The cost is $20 per child, and includes individual position work and will conclude with pass, punt and kick competition.

Youth football camp
The Newcomerstown Youth Football Camp will be July 18, 20, 25 and 27 at the high school football stadium from 6 to 8 p.m.
Any child who is entering grades fifth-eighth grade can participate.
The cost is $20 per child, and includes individual position work and will coincide with the fifth and sixth grade youth football.

Golf scramble set
The Trojan football team will have a golf scramble on Saturday, July 30 at River Greens Golf Course, West Lafayette. A shotgun start will be at 1 p.m.
The four-person team scramble costs $200 per team. Skins, closet to the pin and longest drive will be played. The event includes a meal to follow the round. Cash and door prizes will be available.

/A Night at the Races' set
The Newcomerstown Football Team presents "A Night at the Races" on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Laborer's Union Hall, 150 N. River St., Newcomerstown.
A night of great fun, exciting entertainment and friendly wagering.
$5 ticket gets you snacks, drinks and action on 10 thoroughbred horse races. Additional food and drinks will be available for purchased.
Purchase and name a horse for $20. If your hors wins, you receive $50 in the winner's circle. Sponsor a race for $100.

Single moms group
Are you a single mom who needs a break, some answers, hope, wisdom, help? Join the Single Mom's group meetings on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. at RaChard's Coffee Cove, 209 W. Main St., next to the Feed Barn.
Based on the book,"Hope and Help for the Single Mom," The 21 Principles of a Healthy Single Mom written by Lori Little.
