Seniors at Newcomerstown High School were awarded $83,000 in local scholarships from the Newcomerstown Scholarship Foundation when the annual scholarship banquet was held this past week.
In addition, seniors have received over $200,000 in scholarship awards from their respective colleges or universities and from local foundations.
School officials posted, "This is outstanding! We would like to thank all of our donors for supporting our students, and we would especially like to thank the Newcomerstown Scholarship Foundation for awarding our students with $83,000 in scholarship money."
