COSHOCTON — Calling all villains and superheroes! The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum will be hosting a costume party on Jan. 12 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero or villain. This free event is for all ages 21 and older.

A prize for the best hero and villain costume will be awarded. Let your imagination run wild.

The villains and superheroes can be real or fictional, part of pop culture or even infamous characters from history.

There will be superhero/?villain competitions, too, like a film trivia game and super power challenges.

The evening also includes a door prize, light snacks and draft beer for purchase, provided by the Wooly Pig Farm Brewery.

The party will be held in the museum’s special exhibit gallery where the WWI posters are displayed.

The inspiration for the party comes from the posters, with their demonizing of the Central Powers and glorification of the Allied soldiers.

The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village at 300 N. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton, OH 43812.

Museum hours in January are noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
