Cy Young Youth League Registration

On-line registration for the Cy Young Youth League is currently available, with walk-in registration slated in February. To register on line, go to the Facebook page or (those registering on line will receive a $20 coupon to Dick’s Sporting Goods). Cambridge Youth Basketball Tournament

The annual Cambridge Youth Basketball Tournament will take place Feb. 23-25. This is a boys only tourney with four divisions (grades 3-6). School teams only with a three-game guarantee. The cost is $125 per team with discounts available for entering multiple teams. Last year, teams from 19 different counties in OH and WV participated. The field will be limited to 60 teams. Marshall County Girls Grade School Tourney

The Marshall County Basketball Club will host its 27th annual grade school girls basketball tournament for girls in grades 4-6 from Feb. 23-25. There will be separate tournaments for each grade level and games will be played in middle school gyms with certified officials using regular middle school rules. There will be awards for the 1st and 2nd place teams. Pupil Activity Validation at Barnesville

The Barnesville High Athletic Department, in conjunction with Tim Berger, will conduct a state certified pupil activity validation seminar before the spring season begins on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the BHS multi-purpose room. The cost of the workshop is $25. All coaches will be certified with the Ohio Department of Education for a three-year period. The workshop is not affiliated with any conference or league series. Registration Closed on Arnold 5K

The 18th annual Arnold 5K will be on Sunday, March 4 during the 30th Arnold Sports Festival. The Arnold 5K Pump and Run (billed as the largest pump and run in the country) registration is closed as the event limit of 1,000 participants was reached in four days. Trail Baseball NYC Red Eye Fundraiser

The Trail Diamond Club will sponsor a New York City Red Eye Trip as a fundraiser for the Buckeye Trail baseball program this summer. The trip (limited to 55 passengers) will leave July 27 at 10 a.m. and return July 29 at 8:10 a.m., with pick-up and return at BTHS. The cost is $129 per person (due by May 1), with early pay costing $119 (due by March 15). A $29 deposit is due by March 15 (non-refundable). Registrations (with deposit) should be sent to: Attn.
