At 2:16 p.m. Tuesday, the lockdown at Alliance High School was lifted and students were permitted to leave at their normal time.

The school district released this information on its website at approximately 1:38 p.m.: “Due to a threat seen on social media specific to AHS we have decided to lock down the school to allow Alliance Police Department time to investigate the situation. As soon as we receive information we will release it.

“As a safety precaution all other buildings are in shelter in place which means no one is allowed in or out.”
