Coming in July is the Baker’s IGA and the Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce golf scramble fundraiser.

As part the Baker’s IGA Centennial, in collaboration with the Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce, July 25 is the date to put on the calendar.

The Chamber is looking for four-some teams as well as hole sponsors for the event.

Baker’s IGA has been celebrating all year with special events and the Newcomerstown Chamber officials said they are thrilled to be part of the special activities with them

Chamber officials urge area Chamber businesses, upcoming members, organizations and individuals to jump on board once more as Baker’s IGA has been "all aboard," for years supporting our communities where we live and work.

Those taking part don’t have to be a professional golfer to have fun with Chamber members and Baker’s associates celebrating this unique milestone.

The generosity of the Baker family business in supporting the Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce event is greatly appreciated.

Some other remaining centennial activities with Baker’s IGA in the upcoming months still include: Eddy (with a "y") the pick-up truck making stops at the various Baker’s IGA venues and participating in the summer parade circuit, a Baker’s IGA family history portrayal with impersonator Chris Hart who steps into the shoes of Eddy Baker at The Newcomerstown Historical Society in late April and also takes stage in the village of Freeport; summer pool parties, give-a-ways, special purchases, centennial sales and chances and shopping sprees, employee appreciations and more.
