Christmas in July
The #orangeandblackgetfit non-profit workout group will host a "Christmas in July" vendor fair from 5-7 p.m. July 19 at West Elementary in Newcomerstown, with "POUND FIT" following from 7-8 p.m. The Newcomerstown and West Lafayette independent businesses will put everyone in the Christmas spirit. These two communities will come together this evening to do some early Christmas shopping and support their friends and family who independently sell products.
The West Lafayette Police Department will host the Kid’s Carnival at Burt Park on Saturday, July 21, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The carnival features will be a inflatable bounce house, popcorn, snow cones, yard games, prizes, police car on display, music and a photo booth by BKH Events. The event is free and intended for children ages 3-12.
Ramp to close
On Monday, July 16, the ramp from SR 541 to SR 16 EB in Coshocton will close for 45 days for reconstruction of the ramp. Detour: North on Second Street to Bridge Street, turn left on Bridge Street and continue to County Road 1A, and turn right from County Road 1A to US 36. The Newcomerstown Farmers Market is open in the Newcomerstown Public Library parking lot from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The main parking lot will be closed to traffic during the Farmers’ Market.
The West Lafayette Library is featuring Hopewell Industry individuals as the featured artists at the West Lafayette Library during July. Stop in at the library to view the unique picture art of each talented person sharing their painting. A Bluegrass Gospel / Country Music Jam is planned for the third Sunday of each month from 2-5 p.m. at the Historic Everals Chapel, 60417 Everals Church Road just west of Newcomerstown. The Roscoe United Methodist Ice Cream Social will be July 28. Serving will be 5-7 p.m. or whenever the food is gone.
