CARROLLTON — The Ridgewood Lady Generals and Indian Valley’s Mady McDaniel earned spots in the district by qualifying in the top six at the Division II Sectional Tournament at Carroll Meadows Golf Course on Friday.
Ridgewood claimed the sixth and final qualifying spot by posting a 381-stroke team total. Individual scores for the Lady Generals included Sadie Wilson (80), Lexi Zimmer (88), Brianna Brady (104) and Sydney Matis (109).
McDaniel earned her spot with a 101 score .
The other teams moving on to the district were Garaway (335), Tuscarawas Valley (347), River View (356), Beaver Local (371) and Minerva (373).
The rest of the field included River (422), Indian Valley (424), Sandy Valley (430), John Glenn (431), Strasburg (442) and Claymont (467).
Joining Indian Valley’s McDaniel as individual qualifiers are Buckeye Trail’s Rylie Smith (80), Emily Holzopfel of Buckeye Local (84), Sierra Knowlton of River (84), Rebekah Sugalski of Strasburg (90) and Emalee Nave of Strasburg (101).
Individual scores for Indian Valley in addition to McDaniel were Justise Hartzler (109), Ally Couts (111), and McKenzie Morrison (116)
Newcomerstown had two girls in the field -- Melanie Gibson (109) and Kimberly Gibson (147).
Minerva’s Jordan Van Meeter was the individual medalist with a 70, three shots better than Garaway’s Jocelyn Troyer.
