The Newcomerstown Public Library’s parking lot is finished! The new layout almost doubles the amount of parking spaces available. Thank you for your patience throughout the construction.

Visit your Library on Friday, Dec. 21, from 12-4 p.m. for Kids’ International Christmas for babies through fifth graders. Learn how other countries celebrate Christmas with free food, crafts, and more. Free pictures with Santa will be available for from 12-2 p.m. during the event. Special thanks to the Friends at the Table Cookbook Club for helping with this event. The Cookbook Club meets and eats on the second Saturday of every month at 1 p.m. in the Library Annex.

Teens are welcome to come to the second floor of the library on Wednesday, Dec. 19, between 4-5:30 p.m. to decorate and eat Christmas cookies, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy Christmas music. All teen events are for those in grades 6-12.

Your Library will be closed on Monday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 25, for Christmas. See you on that Wednesday! Your Library will also close at 4 p.m. on Dec. 31 and will be closed all day on Jan. 1. Be sure to reserve a video game system, hotspot, or a pile of movies for your family get-together.

Belinda’s Make-n-Take signs ups for January open on Monday, Dec. 17. This free crafting workshop fills up fast. You can choose from a morning session (9:30-11:30 a.m.) or an afternoon session (12:30-2:30 p.m.). The workshop will be on Wednesday, Jan. 16. There are only eight slots available in each session: first come, first serve. Call the Library at 740-498-8228 or stop in to sign up on December 17th.
