Good News

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Newcomerstown is planning "Good News Sundays" in December. There are plans for the whole family starting at 9:15 a.m. for every Sunday in December. There will be activities for kids and an adult gathering to hear good stories of how Jesus works in the lives of people today. On the final Sunday, Dec. 23, the church will host the "Best Birthday Party for Jesus" at 9:15 a.m. Stay for worship at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome. Candlelight service

There will be a candlelight services at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec.23, at the Community of Faith Baptist Church, 3051 Sanders Church Rd.,Uhrichsville. For information, call Pastor Joe Pena at 330-243-2817. Everyone is welcome.

Class of 1969

The Newcomerstown High School Class of 1969 will hold its 50th year reunion at Raven’s Glenn Winery, 56183 County Road 143, West Lafayette, (Off Route 36) on August 17, 2019. Contact Lyman Gano and Norleen Hoadley (norleenhoadley@gmail.com) with address updates since the 45th reunion and pass the word to the out of area classmates.

Christmas Eve Eve

Area residents are invited to a candlelighting service on Christmas Eve Eve, Sunday, Dec. 23, at 10:30 a.m. at the Chili Crossroads Bible Church, 29445 County Road 10 Fresno. Sing carols and light candles. Bring your family. Everyone welcome. www.chilichurch.org, 740-545-9707.

Art on display

The West Lafayette Library featured artist during December will be David Snyder, a Coshocton County resident. He will be sharing his paintings done in acrylic, watercolor or ink, of the Willowbrook coal tipple and barns of Ohio in Coshocton, Holmes and Muskingum counties. When Dave isn’t painting you can find him at the Warsaw Museum, where he’s been curator for 15 years. The library is open Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Church forms

The newly formed Bible Fellowship Church meeting at the River Greens Golf Course banquet hall for a refreshing new worship experience. Services: Sunday at 10 a.m. Prayer Time and Bible Study in Acts; Sunday at noon, Fellowship Dinner; Sunday at 1 p.m., Bible Study in Psalms; Wednesday at 7 p.m., Bible Study in Revelation.
