FRESNO — Area residents are invited to a Dyslexia Open House on Thursday, Jan. 17, from 5-7 p.m. to celebrate four years of helping children read and a new 501(c)(3) status at the Chili Learning Center.

Meet families and kids whose lives have been greatly positively impacted by the program. Learn more about dyslexia through hands-on exhibits and short interactive presentations. Hot pizza is available and all are welcome at the Chili Learning Center, 29445 County Road 10 Fresno (740-610-0828, www.chililearning.org).

The Chili Church will have pizza, salads and subs each Wednesday in order to keep helping over 70 kids every Wednesday, providing transportation and Bible teaching for kids in the community. In honor of New Years there will be no AWANA at Chili Crossroads Bible Church on Jan. 2.

The Jan. 9 theme at AWANA is Pajamas and Popcorn at 6:30 p.m. for kids 0-18, with fun games, Bible memory and great snacks. It’s free and everyone welcome.

The Jan. 16 theme at AWANA is Nerf Wars and Pizza at 6:30 p.m. for kids 0-18, with fun games, Bible memory and great snacks.

The Jan. 23 theme at AWANA is Bigger and Better Machine at 6:30 p.m. for kids 0-18, with fun games, Bible memory and great snacks.

The Jan. 30 theme at AWANA is It's Your Birthday at 6:30 p.m. for kids 0-18, with fun games, Bible memory and great snacks.
