Students from the Newcomerstown Middle School painted the windows at the Newcomerstown Public Library for the holiday season. 

Upcoming events at the Library include:

• Baby Bounce Story Time, Wednesdays, 10:30-11 a.m.; this special story time for babies 6-24 months seeks to start a love for reading; starts on Jan. 9 and runs through April 26.

• Toddler Time, Thursdays, 10:30-11 a.m.; this story time features books and play suited for toddlers 2-3 years old; starts on Jan. 9 and runs through April 26.

• Preschool Story Time, Fridays 10:30-11 a.m.; this traditional story time offers songs, books, and more; starts on Jan. 9 and runs through April 26.

• Teen Scarf-Making, Wednesday, Jan. 9, 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Library Annex; this teen make-n-take introduces finger knitting. Knit a simple (and warm!) scarf for yourself, a friend, or a special someone. It's free!

• Teen lock-in, Saturday, Jan. 19. 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; for grades 6-12 with a submitted permission slip. Hang out all day at the Newcomerstown Public Library. Adults won't be allowed in. Enjoy free subs and soups. Show off driving skills in the Mario Kart Tournament. Play card games, board games, read, or just chill.
