CINCINNATI (AP) — Police say a 2-year-old boy has died from injuries suffered in a Cincinnati hit-and-run crash when a car struck the child’s stroller on a sidewalk.

Cincinnati police say a suspect is in custody and charged with vehicular assault and leaving the scene.

Police say the crash happened Sunday when a car jumped the curb on a city viaduct, struck the boy and then left the scene. The suspect was arrested at a nearby gas station. The boy died Monday.

Police say 31-year-old defendant Satwinder Singh was treated for minor injuries before being jailed at the county Justice Center.

Jail records show a court hearing Wednesday morning. The records don’t list an attorney.
