You don’t stop playing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop playing. On Saturday, March 23rd from 2-5pm, you have a chance to play without any kids under 50. The Geriatric Jubilee has returned! Join in the wheelchair races and Minute-to-Win-it Games. Take a nap. Play cards. Just be sure you sign up by March 15th. Lunch will also be served.

Toys for Local Tots needs your help. Last Christmas, the program struggled to reach all of the area kids in need. When you enter this year’s Chilly Chili Run and Walk (Saturday, March 16th 11:00 am), you benefit Toys for Local Tots. During the event, you walk or run a 1.4-mile course and enjoy a free chili or hot dog lunch at the end. It costs $5 for a single entry and $10 for a family entry. There’s no size limit on families. Line up is at 10am.

The Local History Club needs your help. The group digs up the history of Newcomerstown and the surrounding area. The club needs help organizing and filing pictures, documents, family histories, and more. If you are interested, leave your contact information at the main desk. Your Library offers a digital microfilm machine and reels that date back to 1873. Yearbooks date back to 1916.

Finally, did you know that you can play board games, work on puzzles, or play chess whenever you visit your Library? Board games include Risk, Operation, and more.
