Brimfest

Description: Brimfest 2019 is a family friendly festival featuring amusement rides, games, free entertainment, admission and parking, live bands perform daily, police and fire demonstrations, contests, raffles, vendors, displays and a wide variety of carnival concession food.
Saturday morning will kick off with a Patriotic Community Parade on Route 43 and Tallmadge Road at 10 a.m., and the day will end with a fireworks show. There also are several events for military and veterans, including a veterans breakfast Saturday morning, a military memorial service, Feed a Vet discount coupons available for food concessions Saturday and a patriotic Parade designed to honor veterans. All veterans are welcome to participate in the parade.

Streetsboro Family Days

Art on Main in Ravenna

The North East Ohio Dachshund Picnic
Location: Plum Creek Park, 590 Plum St., Kent

Description: This annual picnic promotes dachshund rescue. The event will include food, vendors, raffles and a costume contest for the canines. Admission is free, but a $1 donation is requested per dog. Dry dog food to donate to the Portage County dog warden also will be collected.

Taste of Ravenna

Description: This event was created to broaden the awareness of what Ravenna has to offer, and includes any and all businesses who would like to participate. Taste of Ravenna features cupcakes, crafts, ceramics, health advice, massage, tax questions, salons, music and more.There will be a map of all the participating businesses with the intent of creating a fun family friendly scavenger hunt throughout the city. The event also includes entertainment and activities. Cost is $15 per person, and $40-Four Pack. The admission includes a tasting at each participating business, one entry in the scavenger hunt (with map of participating businesses), plus the entertainment and activities at the courthouse lawn.
