Free CPR classes

New Philadelphia firefighters and the Community Health and Wellness nurses at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital have teamed up to host free instructional sessions two days a week at the New Philadelphia Fire Department now underway. The "Hands Only CPR" training sessions are scheduled Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 2 p.m., and participants can stop in anytime during those hours that are convenient.

Harrison County Fair

The 2019 Harrison County Fair is going on this week at the fairgrounds, 550 Grant Street, in Cadiz.

The headline entertainment at 7 p.m. each night in front of the grandstands includes Buckeye Horse Pullers on Monday; Motocross by Lightning Raceway on Tuesday; Side by Side Racing on Wednesday; OSTPA Truck and Tractor Pull on Thursday; and the Demolition Derby on Friday.

A second truck and tractor pull is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday between the Supreme Showman competition at 4 p.m. and square dance from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Visit https://? for a complete listing of fair entertainment and Junior Fair activities.
