The Ridgewood Local Board of Education met in regular session on Thursday June 27, 2019. The board praised Superintendent Mike Masloski and the entire staff for their response in helping the flood victims in the community. Jay Tingle, district treasurer, reported the following items that were approved:

School-wide Pool fund transfers

Tournament funds to the Athletic Dept.

Purchase orders over $15,000 to Renaissance Learning and Front and Center Turf

Super Blanket Purchases Orders for FY 2020 to various vendors

Initiation of Capital Project fund

Amended Appropriations/Estimated Revenues for FY 2019

Temporary Appropriations for FY 2020

Received a donation from the BLOCK "R" Foundation of $ 60,000 and a commitment of $10,000 a year for the next 6 years toward the Locker Room Project.

Superintendent Mike Masloski updated the board on the flood efforts and assessments of the school. The following items were approved upon the superintendent’s recommendation:

Jill Bryan and Kathy Wright from 50% Junior Class Advisors each to Junior Class Co-Advisors.

Agreement with the MVESC for 2019-2020 school year for estimated cost of $176,700.

A fact finding resolution for a permanent Improvement levy was tabled.

The next regular board meeting will be held at 7 a.m. July 12 at the administration office, 301 S. Oak St., West Lafayette.
