Tuscarawas County Board of Revision meeting
The Tuscarawas County Board of Revision (BOR) will meet from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 19. This meeting will be held in the Auditor’s Conference Room located at 125 East High Ave., New Philadelphia. The purpose of this meeting is to consider remission of penalty applications for property taxes, which will include approval or denial. Written comments are welcome from those who will not be able to attend.

Jim Huff art on display
The West Lafayette Library is featuring the art of Jim Huff during the month of September. Jim is sharing his landscapes and abstract art done in oils.
Library hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, noon to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The Newcomerstown Senior Center, 222 S. Bridge St., is hosting breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Sept. 21. Cost is $5.
Board of Education meeting
The Newcomerstown Board of Education regular meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2019 in the high school conference room.
NHS Class of 1961 luncheon
A luncheon for the Newcomerstown High School Class of 1961 is scheduled for noon Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Touraine Club, 111 S. Bridge Street in Newcomerstown.
Newcomerstown Chamber will hold a "Toy Ride," Sept. 28, at the David Barber Civic Center. Kickstands up at noon. Dinner will follow the ride from 5 to 7 p.m. $5 entry fee with $10 donation or toy of equal value. Information: 740-498-8228.
Days for Girls Work Day

Blood screen event
Newcomerstown Rotary Club is holding a blood screen from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the West Elementary School on Beaver Street. Pre-registration with the hospital is required and may be done by calling Southeatern Ohio Regional Medical Center at 740-435-2900. Cost for the testing is as follows: Regular blood test (CBC, CMP, Lipid Profile & Uric Acid), $50; hemoglobin A1C, $20; PSA (prostate), $25; thyroid screen, $25; and vitamin D, $25. Fall Harvest Dance
There will be a fall harvest dance from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Lake Park Dance Pavilion, 23253 State Route 83, Coshocton. The dance will feature The Lake Park Big Band (A 17-piece band comprised of mostly local musicians). Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the pavilion. Cy Young dinner
A Cy Young Festival roast beef dinner will take place from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Dinner will include roast beef, two sides, a roll, dessert and a drink for $9. Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling 740-498-4545.
A benefit auction by Kaufman Realty and Auctions will take place Friday, Oct. 18, at Chili Crossroads Bible Church. A live and silent auction will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. and there will be pizza served from 4 to 9 p.m. The event will also feature volleyball and corn hole tournaments. Proceeds will benefit youth and addiction community outreach.
