West Lafayette fire fighters are safer today because of a donation from the Janusian Club. Members of the club recently held a meeting at the West Lafayette Fire Station. Several firefighters were present and demonstrated different pieces of emergency equipment that had been recently acquired. Janusian Club members then decided to help firefighters purchase safety vests to be worn on scenes such as car accidents and different emergency situations. The vests are made of reflective material and also have lights in them. This will enable firefighters to be seen more clearly and be able to conduct their responsibilities more safely. Pictured here with the new vests are, l-r, Firefighter Travis Goodwill, Asst. Chief Chad Hains, Chief Glenn Hill and Firefighter Tony Griffith.
