Shelley Cline, a teacher in Newcomerstown, brought some Harry Potter and Hogwarts to her classroom recently. On Sept. 5, Cline decorated her classroom decorated with items recalling the famous children's book series by J.K. Rowlings about the boy wizard. Cline arrived in front of the class, ready to teach, in full costume and the students' seating arrangement was decided by a sorting process, with each student drawing from the "sorting bag." Each row was named for one of the Houses at Hogwarts. Teams (Houses) will gain or lose points based on attendance to class, behavior in class, and academic effort. Going above and beyond caught the attention of Middle School Principal Jason Peoples and Mrs. Cline was awarded the "Thumbs Up" award for her efforts. School officials said, "Congratulations, Mrs. Cline, and keep up the good work! Your excitement and positive attitude are contagious, and it certainly didn't appear that the students were the only ones having fun!"
