Special board meeting
Indian Valley Board of Education will hold a special board meeting at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 30, at the high school for the purpose of approving a negotiated agreement with public employees.
Pork chop dinner
Tunnel Hill Community Center in Stone Creek will host a pork chop dinner Nov. 2. Dinner will include a pork chop, two sides, cookies and a beverage for $10. For more information, call 330-308-0709.
Country music event
An afternoon of country music will be presented Sunday, Nov. 3, at The Kimbolton Community Center. Music will begin at noon and continue through 3 p.m. with the bands to be determined. The kitchen will open at noon to serve baked steak and chicken dinners as well as an assortment of sandwiches and desserts. Carry-out will be available. There will be cake walks and a 50-50 drawing. This event, sponsored by The Kimbolton Homecoming Committee, is open to the public with no admission charge.
The Newcomerstown Masonic Center will host an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner featuring homemade spaghetti, salad, hot garlic bread and dessert at the center from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Carry-out and delivery available by calling 330-243-5706.
The Newcomerstown Thanksgiving Dinner will take place Sunday, Nov. 10, at Christ United Methodist Church Community Center, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown to support Community and Journey’s End Ministries.
The doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
Program for veterans
Isleta UMC invites all veterans to a patriotic program on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. in the church sanctuary, 58608 CR 9, Newcomerstown.
Class of 1960 luncheon
The NHS Class of 1960 will have its final luncheon of the year on Nov. 13, at the Overlook Restaurant at Virtues Golf Club (formerly the Longaberger Lodge) beginning at noon. The restaurant is located at One Long Drive, Nashport, Ohio.
Classmates are reminded to save the dates for their 60th year reunion weekend on Sept. 18-19, 2020. Headquarters for the reunion will be the Coshocton Village Inn and Suites.
Class of 1958 luncheon
Newcomerstown High Class of 1958 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, at Theo's Restaurant in Cambridge.
Class of 1956 luncheon
The 1956 Class of Newcomerstown will be meeting at noon, Nov. 14, at Roberta’s in Warsaw. Friends are welcome to attend.
Rose Day sale

Turkey supper and bazaar
St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Port Washington will host its annual turkey supper and bazaar from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 20, at the church. The menu includes turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade noodles, green beans, assorted salads and desserts, bread and beverages. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. Carry-outs will be available.
