Patricia Rose "Pat" McKim, 62, of Newcomerstown, formerly of the Cambridge area, passed away Friday evening, Aug. 7, 2009, in Aultman Hospital, Canton, following a short illness.

Pat was born in Cambridge on Oct. 5, 1946, a daughter of the late Bernard W. and Katherine Phillips Sealock.

She attended Cambridge schools and was a homemaker for all her adult life. She was a member of the Flat Ridge Church, Guernsey County, and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, traveling, doing crossword puzzles, collecting ceramic dolls and stuffed animals, and spending time with her grandsons and her great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a son, Mark McKim of Cambridge; a sister, Judy Sealock of Columbus; and an infant brother.

Pat is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert G. "Bob" McKim of Newcomerstown, whom she married Dec. 15, 1963. She is also survived by a son, Robert L. McKim Sr. and his companion, Rene C. Jackson, both of Scio; grandsons, Robert L. McKim Jr. of Newcomerstown and William Carl "Bill" McKim and his fiancé Kerstin Bailey of Coshocton; a great-grandson, Jade Izik McKim of Coshocton; a half-brother, William Cochran; her former daughter-in-law, Barb A. McKim of Newcomerstown; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate Pat's life were Wednesday, Aug. 12 at the Ourant Funeral Home, Newcomerstown.

Pastor Nelson Miller officiated. Burial followed in North Salem Cemetery, Liberty Township, Guernsey County.

The family is requesting that memorials be made in Pat's name to an individual's favorite charity.
