Funeral services for Paul C. Haver, 91, of Newcomerstown, were Oct. 5, 2009, at the Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown. Rev. Kenneth G. Hacker officiated the services with burial in the West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown. Military services were conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard. He passed away Sept. 27 at Southeastern Med, Cambridge.
He was born June 30, 1918, in Tuscarawas County, the son of the late Perry Luther and Mary Ellen (Little) Haver.
Mr. Haver was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was a retired truck driver for Wenham Transportation.
He was also a member of the Kings United Methodist Church, VFW Post 2040 of Coshocton and the Retired Teamsters.
On April 28, 1942, he married Georgia W. Marlatt Haver, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Paul "Dusty" (Donna) Haver and Roger (Karen) Haver, all of Newcomerstown; two daughters, Mary Ellen (Cliff) Heston of Kimbolton and Beverly (Michael) Cox of Newcomerstown; seven grandchildren, Kris (Matt) Puskarich, Cindy (Scott) Sievers, Brian (Darlene) Heston, Mark Haver, Matthew Haver, Jeremy (Mark) Haver and Kathleen Cox; three great-grandchildren, Lucas and Benjamin Puskarich and Chase Haver; and one sister, Ruth (Bob) Addy of Keene.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Lisa Heston and Jason Haver; two brothers, Raymond and Earl Haver; and one sister, Geneva Saunders.
