COSHOCTON -- Mary Janice Bahmer, 83, of West Lafayette, passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2010.
She was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Coshocton to the late Clemence and Ida (Kaufman) Royer.
Janice graduated from Coshocton High School in 1944 and married Dennis Bahmer on Dec. 20, 1944.
She was a member of the Bakersville Presbyterian Church, Bakersville Church Ladies Aid, Bakersville Quest Club, Blue Ridge Grange, a member of the Farm Bureau, and the Coshocton Hospital Pink Ladies.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Joyce) Bahmer of West Lafayette; daughter, Candy (David) Miller of Caldwell; six grandchildren, Paul Miller, Steffany (Eric) Van Fleet, Grace (Mark) Mitchell, Michael (Cari) Bahmer, Stacie (Kurt) Hemmert and Wendy Bahmer; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away on Nov. 22, 2000; a brother Everett Royer; and a sister Mildred Lusk.
Funeral services were Feb. 23 with Pastor Al Van Fossen and Pastor Peter Mathewson officiating at Given-Dawson Funeral Home, Coshocton.
