UHRICHSVILLE -- Florence L. Moore, 91, of Newcomerstown, formerly of Tuscarawas, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown, following a lengthy illness.
Born Dec. 22, 1919, in Tuscarawas, Florence was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha (Roth) Fellers.
Florence was employed at Allensworth Jewelry for six years. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Tuscarawas. She was also a member of Eastern Star in Port Washington. Florence enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening, traveling and card games.
On June 23, 1973, at the Moravian Church in Uhrichsville, Florence married Francis R. Moore, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are their children, Terry (Norma) Blickensderfer of Homeworth, Daniel (Pat) Blickensderfer of West Lafayette, Helen (Terry) Culbertson of Uhrichsville, Dana (Patty) Moore of Tuscarawas and Patricia (James) VanVleet of Salt Lake City, Utah; 10 grandchildren, Deanne (Cameron) Charles, Brian Blickensderfer, Brenda (Jim) Smallwood, Brad (Amy) Blickensderfer, Leigh Ann (Scott) McCray, Danny (Amy) Blickensderfer, Sherie (Larry) Shaffer, Kurt (Anita) Culbertson, Rachelle (Tom) Willis and Lindsay (Kevin) Herron; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Florence was preceded in death by four sisters, Frances Welch, Hazel Westhaver, Fern Fagley and Thelma DeOstroph; three brothers, Floyd, Donald and Eugene Fellers; and one-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Jan. 19, 2011, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Larry Bradley officiating. Burial followed in the Evergreen Burial Park, New Philadelphia.
