Deirdre J. Clark, 85, of Newcomerstown, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at Southeastern Med, Cambridge.

She was born Sunday, Sept. 13, 1925, in Ruan Lanihorne Cornwall, England, to the late Victor George and Lillie Jane (Nichols) Wasley.

She was owner and operator of Avon Mobile Park in Green, Han-Dee Acres Farms and Han-Dee Homes. She served in the Royal Airforce England during World War II.

She was a member of St. Francis DeSales Church of Newcomerstown. She also loved singing in the choir and enjoyed her flowers at the farm.

On June 21, 1945, she married Henry J. Clark, who died March 7, 2004.

She is survived by three sons, Christopher G. (Beverly) Clark of Columbus, Thomas H. (Jean Ann) Clark of Newcomerstown, and Dennis V. (Patricia J.) Clark of Dover; six grandchildren, James J. (Heather) Clark, Michelle M. (Rob) Skoog, Seth T. Clark, Rachel Ann (Mark) Strauss, Michael V. (Carrie) Clark, Brian R. Clark; three step-grandchildren, Drew (Angie) Lippencott, Robin D. (Jodi) Lippencott and Melissa A. (Ralph) Rhodes; 17 great-grandchildren, Ruan T. Clark, Sophie Skoog, Isabella Skoog, Andrew Skoog, Adina Lippencott, Brianna Lippencott, Chance Lippencott, Morgan Lippencott, Logan Rebolt, Kaley Strauss, Allison Strauss, Joseph Strauss, Jack Strauss, Derek (Mandy) Rhodes, Clayton Rhodes, Bryce Rhodes, Rylee Beaver; five sisters, Barbara Kitchener, Grace Austin, Betty Abrhams, Alyn Symmons and Sally Burstow, all of England; two sister-in-laws, May Wasley and Jean Wasley, both of England; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin and Thomas Wasley.

Funeral mass was Friday, June 3, 2011, in the St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, Newcomerstown with Father Jimmy Hatfield officiating.

Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown.

The Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown was in charge of arrangements.
