Dorothy Frances (Gilles) Frabotta, 73, of Newcomerstown, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at home peacefully in her sleep.

Dorothy was born Feb. 4, 1939, to the late Edward Gilles and Myrtle (Donahue) Gilles and raised in Elyria.

She lived most of her life in Wellington and Avon areas.

She was a 1957 Elyria Catholic High School graduate.

In October of 1963, she married William J. Frabotta Jr., who died Aug. 31, 2008.

She and William lived in Newcomerstown after retirement from Avon Public School System as a school bus driver of seven years. She also worked at Ted Jacobs at Midway Mall and Brandeal Jewelers in Elyria.

Dorothy loved to swim and garden.

Her favorite hobbies were crafts, sewing, four wheeling and golfing with her late husband.

She was also the reigning Beauty Queen of Elyria in 1962.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Deneen Christine Frabotta of Fayetteville, N.C.; her son, Chad William (Jennifer K.) Frabotta of Newcomerstown; four grandchildren, Tiffany J. Ortiz of Atlanta, Ga., Antonio W. Ortiz of Elyria, Dylan M. Good and Brianna R. Good, both of Newcomerstown; great-granddaughter, McKaelyn B. Ortiz of Lagrange; four sisters, Mary Ann Ehlers of Elyria, Grace Brown of Amherst, Katie Jezewski of Wellington, Isabeal Winchester of Grafton; and a brother, Edward Gilles of Elyria.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Leo, and Dick Gilles; and her father-in-law, William J. Frabotta Sr.
