COSHOCTON -- Edith I. Freetage, 70, of West Lafayette, passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013.
Edith was born in Coshocton on Oct. 27, 1942, to the late Earl and Pauline (Finton) VanSickle.
She graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 1962 and retired as the assistant librarian at Newcomerstown Library after 37 years of service.
She was also a member of the Newcomerstown Moose Lodge.
Edith is survived by her husband, Cecil Junior Freetage whom she married 1974; one brother, William "Bill" Vansickle of Newcomerstown; sister-in-law, Debbie (Tracy) Wyler of West Lafayette; nieces, Angie (Dave) Shugars and Beth (Rich) Sanders, both of Newcomerstown, and Lindsay (Jared) Cutlip of West Lafayette; nephews, Bryan VanSickle of Littleton, W.Va., and Nathan (Tiffany) Wyler of Warsaw; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Edith dearly loved her two cats, Tabby and Boots.
Funeral services for Edith were Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at The Miller Funeral Home, Coshocton, with Lloyd Tenney officiating.
Interment followed in the Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.
