Ruth C. Lower, 85, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Florida Hospital, Orlando.
She was born Tuesday, June 24, 1930, in Newcomerstown, Ohio, to the late Elmer and Nettie (Loos) Burdette.
She married Clyde "Richard" Lower in 1949 where they spent 66 years together, and was a devoted housewife.
She is survived by her two children, Stephen (Debbie) Lower of Newcomerstown and Paula (Steven) Lauer of Whitehouse; four grandchildren, Adam Lower, Abby (Brandon) Hendrick, Emily Landrum, and Andrew Lauer, as well as one great grandchild, Sydney Landrum.
She was preceded in death by her eight sisters.
Ruth was an active volunteer for Give Kid's the World and active with organizing and attending events at Citrus Ridge Park in Davenport, Fla.
She also loved quilting, crocheting, and reading as well as camping and traveling.
Services were Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, in the Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown with the Rev. Donald Silverthorne officiating.
Burial took place at Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens.
