James P. Foraker, Jr., 78, of Port Washington died Monday, February 13, 2017, at Arbors at Stow. He was born April 20, 1938, in Newcomerstown to the late James P. Foraker Sr. and Helen Mae (Neighbor) Foraker. He was the owner of his own business, Foraker Pallet Lumber in Newcomerstown. On November 5, 1955, he married Joan (Everhart) Foraker. He was a member of Port Washington Masonic Lodge #202 and served as a Past Master. He was very passionate about flying and had his own private plane. He also enjoyed hunting and anything outdoors. He is survived by his children, Lisa Ann (James) Gadberry of Mo., Jamie Sue (Terry) Lawver of Port Washington, and Angela J. (Charles) Hammontree of Canton; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; as well as sister, Beverly Maurer. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Lane Foraker, and brother, Jack Foraker. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
