PORT WASHINGTON — John G. Norman, Sr., 78, of Port Washington, passed away Sunday morning, August 12, 2018 at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehab Center.
John loved being busy on his small farm with his beef cows, his garden and morning walks. He loved nature. He was known for his older vehicles and loved to do body work, and he also worked on cars for others. He retired from Boltaron on Jan. 31, 2003 after over 30 years of service.
He was born May 14, 1940 to the late Guy H. and Jeanetta Ruth (Mirise) Norman. On April 21, 1960 he married Bonnie Jean (Myers) Norman, the love of his life.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John G. (Jaynie) Norman, Jr. and Darrell D. Norman, all of Port Washington; two grandsons, Blake Norman of Port Washington and Zachary (Stephanie) Norman of New Philadelphia; five great-grandchildren complete the family, Briana, Kinley, Zayden, Gaven and Jordyn Norman.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Charles, Gerald, Wilburn, Willard, Roy and Donnie Norman; four sisters, Elouise Kees, Marie DeLong, Bonnie Hinton and Madeline Waller.
