Mrs. Janis "Jan" Watson (née Senseman) died comfortably on December 11, 2018 in Newcomerstown, Ohio at the age of 72.

Jan is survived by her husband, Thomas "Tom" Watson II; children, Tom and his wife Elizabeth, Marty, Tim, and Dan and his wife Shannon; two grandsons, Alden and Gabriel; one granddaughter, Wren; siblings, David Senseman, Kay Armstrong and Carol McNeely.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Harriet Senseman, of Kettering, Ohio and her son, David Jonathan Watson.

Jan was born on September 29, 1946 in Oakwood, Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Meeting at college, she married Tom in 1967. They moved to Washington, Montana and Texas adding children along the way. After moving back to the Dayton, Ohio area, she worked as a teacher and early intervention specialist. Her children remember her as a kind, caring and loving Mom who always gave generously of her time, love and attention to bless others.

Jan was accomplished at sewing, knitting and crafts often making finger puppets, sweaters and hats. She was a devoted individual who loved God, family, friends, community and children in other countries and who was passionate about giving to those close and far away. She was an active and dedicated member of Christ United Methodist and often volunteered at Journey's End.

Calling hours were Dec. 15 at Addy Funeral Home, with the funeral on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, Pastor Bracken Foster officiating.
