We are launching a new weekly column this week; Ask the Mayor. One question from local residents will be chosen and submitted to the mayor for a response.
Our editor has taken the liberty of asking the first question to launch the column. Submit your questions to The News by mail, Facebook message, or email to email@example.com.
Michael Wise: "Many residents have noticed a number of positive changes and improvements that have occurred in Newcomerstown this year. As mayor, what would you like to see happen within the next twelve months?"
Mayor Cadle: "I would to see our village continue to move in a positive direction. We have great assets in our residents, businesses and companies, our streets, the park and pool, the library, our schools, our Council, and the Industrial Park. Newcomerstown is a great town to live in. We need to keep working harder to promote what we have but in the same instant, provide opportunities to improve it by taking advantage of grant monies available and different funding opportunities. This year has been an excellent year for the village. I am looking forward to finishing strong and continue our improvements in 2017."
