NEW PHILADELPHIA — Several area athletes will have one last hurrah as a high school football player by taking part in the 32nd annual Times-Reporter Charities All-Star Football Game at 7 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium.

Serving as head coaches this year are Dave Tucci of Malvern for the East team and Jon Slusser of Ridgewood for the West squad.

The East leads the series 16-15, with nearly $261,000 raised for charity.

Local players on the West squad will include Taylor Brandon (5-10, 165), linebacker, Newcomerstown. From Ridgewood, players include: Will Alllen (5-8, 170), defensive line; Max Freetage (6-4, 205) offensive line; Brad Gallagher (6-3, 230), offensive line; Ryan Gress (6-3, 210), defensive line; Justin Murphy (6-6, 300), offensive line; Zack Queen (6-2, 270), defensive line; and Derrick Young (6-0, 205), linebacker.

Indian Valley players on the East squad include: Zack Baker (6-1, 170), defensive back; Bo Gilmore (5-9, 170), linebacker; and Eric Gray (5-10, 150), wide receiver.

Tickets for the game are available at Baker’s IGA in Newcomerstown and WTNS Radio in Coshocton, among other locations.
