Ridgewood ties Coshocton

COSHOCTON -- Ridgewood played Coshocton to a 0-0 tie in girl's soccer action on Thursday.

The Generals now have a record of 3-2-1 while the Redskins go to 7-1-2.

Coshocton outshot Ridgewood 27-1, but Ridgewood held on as Amanda Bible collected 17 saves in goal for the Lady Generals. Karlee Arnett had one save for the Redskins.

Ridgewood head coach Casey Claxon said, "Our defense had another outstanding game against a very good Coshocton team. Our goalkeeper Amanda Bible is something special. Paige Erb, Kalynn Bluck, Mackenzie Bates, Latisa Sharier, Nicole Hardesty, and Jessica Olinger really played their hearts out in the back. Brittany Selders, Katrina Phillabaum, and Sterling Wilkerson also did a great job holding off Coshocton's mid-field."

Hiland defeats Ridgewood

BERLIN -- In a match featuring the only two girl's soccer programs in the Inter-Valley Conference, Hiland defeated Ridgewood 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Irelie Riggle and Hannah Stoneman scored goals in the first half to give the Lady Hawks a 2-0 halftime lead. Selena Hererra's goal with 17:48 remaining put the game out of reach.

Hiland outshot the Lady Generals 10-4.

Amanda Bible collected six saves in goal for the Orange and Black.

"Our midfield really battled in rainy and blustery conditions," said coach Casey Claxon. "Sterling Wilkerson, Brittany Selders, Kalynn Bluck and Katrina Phillabaum continue to improve and increase their level of intensity."

Hiland improved to 4-4-3 while Ridgewood dropped to 3-3-1.
