Hiland put together a sweep in three games to defeat homestanding Newcomerstown, 25-9, 25-16, and 25-17 recently.

The Trojans (5-6, 2-6 IVC) were led by Allison Snyder, who accounted for eight kills, six points and two blocks. Chelsea Bryant registered six points (two aces), and eight digs; Krystin Raach dished out 14 assists; Andrea McWhorter recorded 10 digs; and Erica Roberts scored three kills.

Andrea Mast had 16 points (5 aces) to go with 28 assists for the Hawks (8-2, 6-1 IVC).

The Trojans won the JV match in two games.

Ridgewood falls to Sandy Valley

SANDYVILLE -- Ridgewood fell to Sandy Valley in an IVC game on Monday, 25-10, 13-25, 16-25, and 21-25.

Jordan Vaiea had eight points and six kills to lead the Generals (6-2, 5-2 IVC). Maggie Nagle scored six points and had eight kills while Kayla Tedrick came through with seven points, seven kills, four blocks, and 19 assists. Kim Michael contributed eight kills and 14 blocks.

The Cardinals (8-3, 5-2 IVC) were paced by Jenna Faiello with 12 points and 14 digs.

Ridgewood won the junior varsity match in two games.

Indian Valley defeated

AKRON -- Indian Valley fell to Manchester on Thursday in Principals Athletic Conference play. Finals scores were 21-25, 25-21, 16-25, and 17-25.

Mindy Bober scored 11 points and came up with 29 digs for the Braves (7-4, 4-3 PAC). Chanda Page recorded 18 kills and 39 digs while Morgan Henderson finished with 33 assists. Kristen Stiles had 17 digs.

Manchester, who is now 11-2, won the reserve match in two games.

Ridgewood defeated

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Central Catholic took down Ridgewood in three straight on Thursday in IVC action, 25-18, 26-24, and 25-14. The Saints are now 8-0 in league play.

Molly Lawless had 11 points, 20 assists, nine kills, three blocks, and seven digs to pace the Saints (11-1, 8-0 IVC). Millie Patchan added nine points, 12 assists, 20 kills, and four digs.

Maggie Nagle scored nine points with five blocks for the Generals (6-3, 5-3 IVC). Kim Michael contributed eight kills and 10 blocks while Kayla Tedrick scored eight points and had six assists and 10 digs.

The Saints won the reserve match in three games.

Indian Valley defeats Timken

CANTON -- Indian Valley made easy work of Timken on Thursday in a PAC match, 25-12, 25-20, and 25-22.

Chanda Page scored eight points and had 12 kills for the Braves (8-4, 5-3 PAC). Mindy Bober racked up 12 points (two aces) to go with 11 digs, and Morgan Henderson finished with 24 assists and 14 digs.

Indian Valley won the reserve match in two games.
