DOVER -- The Dover Knights of Columbus will host the second annual Ghost Chase 5K Road Race at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30.

The Ghost Chase 5K will start and finish at the Dover St. Joseph Church Parish Center on N. Tuscarawas Avenue. The race will take runners through two local cemeteries and the Knights of Columbus will present special awards to the runners in the best Halloween costumes.

Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers along with the top three male and female finishers in 14 age categories. All runners will receive a T-shirt and refreshments will be served after the race. Registration is $15. Registration forms are available at the YMCA of Tuscarawas County and the Allied Machine and Engineering Tuscarawas Valley Challenge web site,

Race day registration will open at 7:30 a.m. and cost $20. All proceeds from the race will benefit the activities of the Dover Knights of Columbus Council 1973. The Knights support programs that benefit the developmentally disabled and a wide variety of activities at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

"With the Halloween theme and race route through the cemeteries, this is a fun race, but also an important fund raiser for the great work of the Knights," said race director Matt Ritzert.
