The Lady Braves used a seven-run first inning to come away with a 12-3 non-conference win over the Lady Trojans on Friday.
Newcomerstown got on the board in the fourth inning with two runs after trailing 8-0 but could only add one more run after that.
Morgan Miles ruled the mound for the Braves as she gave up seven hits in picking up the win. She also ruled at the plate with a home run to help her team run its record to 2-2. Also strong at the plate for Indian Valley were Vanessa Zeigler with a double and two singles, Katie Shamel with three singles, Alexandre Smart with a double and single, and Maggie Kennedy with two singles.
Allie Hinton led Newcomerstown (3-3) as she cracked three base hits.

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Lady Trojans dropped a 10-9 decision in eight innings against Inter-Valley Conference opponent Tuscarawas Central Catholic on Thursday.
Angelena Ciraci pounded a game-winning single for the Lady Saints in the bottom of the eighth to cap a two run rally.
Cydney McMillan suffered the mound loss while Sarah Vinci picked up the win for the hosts.
Allie Hinton paced Newcomerstown (3-2, 1-1 IVC) with a pair of triples while Chelsea Fenton clubbed a double and single. Meghan Mullane came through with two base hits and Taylor Postel crushed a triple. Sami Beamer led Central (3-0, 2-0 IVC) with a triple and a double.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- The Lady Braves scored four runs in the first two innings and made them stand as they scored a 4-1 non-conference win over the Lady Generals on Thursday.
Alexandre Smart led Indian Valley at the plate by driving home three runs in the second inning with a bases-loaded double. Maggie Kennedy came through with two singles.
Morgan Miles got the win on the mound for Indian Valley (1-2) by striking out six while giving up three hits.
Taylor Zinkon was tagged with the loss for the Lady Generals (0-3).

BERLIN -- With eight of the nine starters hitting safely at least once, the visiting Lady Trojans posted a 5-1 Inter-Valley Conference win over the Lady Hawks on Wednesday.
Newcomerstown (3-1, 1-0 IVC) jumped in front with a pair of runs in the first inning and never trailed. Hiland cut the difference to 2-1 in the third but the Lady Trojans scored one in each of the last three frames for the 5-1 difference.
Cydney McMillan (2-0) picked up the win in the circle with four strikeouts and four walks. Maryssa Mast took the loss fanning one and walking none.
The Lady Trojans banged out 14 hits with Taylor Postel and Aeriel Green each nailing a tripleand single. Allie Hinton added a double and single and Meghann Mullane a double while Kelsey McCune, McMillan and Katelyn Stringer each tacked on a pair of singles. For Hiland (2-1, 1-1 IVC), five players collected a single each.

BREWSTER -- The Lady Falcons got an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth from Jessica Fogle to pull out a 5-4 win over the Lady Braves on Wednesday.
Indian Valley (0-2, 0-2 PAC) led 4-2 before giving up two runs in the bottom of the seventh to allow Fairless to tie the game.
Fogle finished with a double and two singles while Leah Silvestri had a double and single. Bre Tucker was credited with the win for Fairless (3-0, 3-0 PAC).
Morgan Miles, who was tagged with the mound loss, came through with a double and single for the Lady Braves.

The Lady Trojans flexed their collective muscles in a dominant sweep of the Lady Redskins during a double header at home last Saturday, winning by 9-3 and 10-1 scores.
The first game was won by Newcomerstown's Cydney McMillan while the loss fell to Coshocton's Macey Patterson.
Allie Hinton led the Lady Trojans (2-1) with a pair of singles and a double that led to three RBI. Taylor Postel added three singles while Lexi Montgomery came through with a double and single.
Patterson and Shawnna Carling each recorded a pair of singles for the Lady Redskins (0-4).
In the second game, Ariel Green picked up the win for the hosts by firing a three-hitter while the loss fell to Brittney Reavey.
Hinton continued her impressive hitting day, tallying a triple and a double to bring in four runners. Green helped her cause by cracking two doubles while Meghann Mullane came through with one double.
