WEST LAFAYETTE -- Ridgewood knocked Indian Valley out of the ranks of the undefeated with a 9-5 non-conference win on Friday.

The Generals upped their record to 4-3 while the Braves slipped to 3-1.

Indian Valley was leading 4-3 after three innings before Ridgewood scored six runs over the next three innings.

C.J. Grove had an RBI double and Skylor Dennis cracked a two RBI single in the fifth inning to produce the runs that turned out to be the difference.

For the game, Brian McElhaney nailed a triple and double while Trent Lingo, Dennis, and Grove had a double and single apiece.

Thomas Ellis struck out eight, walked two, and surrendered nine hits in picking up the win. He gave up four runs to the Braves in the first three innings but held them in check the rest of the way.

Shawn Mills took the mound loss for the Braves. Logan Cozart blasted a home run and two singles while Zane Shuso ripped a double and single to lead the Red and Blue.

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Trojans remained winless by dropping a 5-4 decision to the Saints on Thursday in an Inter-Valley contest.

With the game tied at 2-2 heading into the final inning, Newcomerstown (0-4, 0-2 IVC) scored two runs to take a 4-2 edge.

Central Catholic (4-0, 3-0 IVC) responded with three runs in a walkoff victory.

The loss fell to Tyler Craigo, who teamed with Doug Dorsey for the Trojans.

Brandon Sweet earned the win alongside Gage Miller.

The Trojans were led by Craigo's two singles and two RBI, Hayden McAffee's two singles, and Jordan Wharff's double. Sweet led the hosts with a double and two singles.

GNADENHUTTEN -- The Braves scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth and then held on in the sixth for a 14-13 win over Fairless, their second close win in as many nights over the Falcons.

Fairless led 9-8 before Indian Valley exploded to a 14-9 advantage after batting in the fifth.

But the Falcons scored four in the sixth before the Braves were finally able to secure the last out in the shortened game.

Leading Indian Valley (3-0, 3-0 PAC) at the plate were Kyle Lehigh with three singles along with Brandon Fox and Brady Byers who each collected two singles. Chase Burcher nailed a two-run single in the critical sixth inning. Jake Hursey picked up the win on the mound.

Donnie Gore had a home run and two base hits for the Falcons (2-2, 2-2 PAC).

BREWSTER -- The Braves came through with a 9-8 PAC win over the Falcons on Tuesday to run their record to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in league play.

Logan Cozart crushed an RBI triple in the top of the eighth inning to put Indian Valley on top. A game saving grab by Brandon Fox out of his shortstop position ended the game with the tying run on second base.

Cozart, who got the pitching win in relief, also had an RBI double. Teammate Brady Byers came through with two doubles and an RBI while Zane Shuss came through with two singles and two RBI.

Fairless (2-1, 2-1 PAC) got a three-run homer from Donnie Gore and three singles from Austin Matheson.

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Saints relied on two home runs from Jimmy Fickes to score an 8-5 win over the Generals on Tuesday in Inter-Valley Conference play.

Fickes second shot, a three-run home in the sixth inning that gave him four RBI on the night, led a six run outburst that helped the Saints hang on for the win, as the Generals scored four runs in the bottom of seventh before running out of steam.

C.J. Grove led the Generals (3-3, 0-1 IVC) at the plate with a triple and single while Landon Smith, Ryan Lowe, and Trent Lingo each cracked a double.

Lingo took the loss on the mound for Ridgewood while Matt Litty struck out eight in picking up the win for Central Catholic (2-0, 1-0 IVC).
