The Newcomerstown Junior High Relays were held at Lee Stadium recently.
For the boy's division, Tusky Valley came in first with 90.5 points while Ridgewood placed second with 83 points. Newcomerstown was seventh with 49.
Winning teams for the Trojans included the discus (McVey, Crider-Harris, Stringer) while for the Generals they included the distance medley (Leasure, Leitz, Shannon, Reed); sprint medley (Rufener, Rittenhouse, Brinkman, Felgenhauer), and 800 (Shannon, Montague, Foster, Art).
In the girl's division, Garaway won with 87.75 points while the Lady Generals were second with 75.75. The Lady Trojans came in fifth with 48.75.
The Lady Trojan sprint hurdle group of Hill, McCune, Hunt-Jackson, and Patterson was the lone winning team.

The junior high track team had a triangular with Central Catholic and Malvern last Saturday.
In boy's action, the Trojans won with 73 points while the Saints scored 69 and the Hornets 12. First place finishes for Newcomerstown included the double individual winners of Stringer in the 400 (57.75) and high jump (5-4) and McVay in the discus (100-6) and shot (34-1) along with Carpenter in the pole vault (8-6) and the 4 x 400 relay team of Pritchard, Little, Mozena, and Stringer (4:16.3).
In the girl's division, the Lady Saints won with 88 points compared to 55 for the Lady Trojans and 10 for the Lady Hornets.
First place finishes for Newcomerstown included Burrier in the pole vault (7-0), Lenhoff in the discus (81-9), McMullen in the long jump (14-7), and the 4 x 100 relay team of Kellish, Styer, McCune, and McMullen (59.65).
