Garaway claims title
WEST LAFAYETTE Garaway claimed the team title in the Inter-Valley Conference Postseason Tournament at River Greens Golf Course on Thursday by shooting a team score of 318.
Ridgewood finished second (323) followed by Malvern (335), Hiland (339), Strasburg (355), Tuscarawas Central Catholic (359), Sandy Valley (362) and Newcomerstown (394).
Ryan Troyer paced Garaway and claimed medalist honors carding a 70 followed by Cody Mast (78), Adam Andreas (83) and John Mason (87).
Ridgewood was led by Dillon McPherson and Seth Finton each carding a 78, while Ty Davis added an 81 and Tanner Stoffer and Howie Young each came in at 86.
Top scorer for Malvern was Jordan Glick with 77, while Justin Yoder paced Hiland by firing 82. Caden Bonar and Steve Fondriest led Strasburg with 86s; Central Catholic was paced by Andrew Cugliari with 82; Sandy Valley Damon Schneider shot 88 and Newcomerstowns Boss Gibson led the Trojans with 91.
Ridgewood had previously won the preseason tournament at Willandale Golf Course and accumulated 14 points before the tournament with Garaway earning 13. But the Pirates won eight points for their effort at the Postseason win and the Generals got seven thus the teams tied for the overall league title with 21 points.

Dover 168, Indian Valley 170, Claymont 194
WEST LAFAYETTE Indian Valley came in second at a triangular with Dover and Claymont at River Greens on Thursday. The Tornadoes won with 168, followed by the Braves (170), and Mustangs (194).
Shawn Mills led Indian Valley (8-10) and earned medalist honors by firing 37. Mitchell Lehigh shot 43, Brett Penick finished with 44, and Alex Cotsmire had 46. Dover (7-4) was led by Marco McKees 39 while Claymont (1-13) got 47 from Tyler Goshorn and Nick Jackson.
CVCA wins tourney
MASSILLON CVCA took first place at the boys PAC-7 Tournament that was held at The Legends on Wednesday. The Royals shot 319 to finish with a total of 636. Tusky Valley (333) finished second at 654 while Indian Valley (340) was third at 674.
Indian Valley was led by Shawn Mills and Mitchell Lehigh, who both shot 81. Brennan Rentsch shot 86 and Alex Cotsmire came in with 92. Alex Talbott of Fairless was medalist with 76.

Ridgewood knocks off Strasburg
SUGARCREEK Ridgewood knocked off Strasburg in an IVC dual meet on Tuesday at Willandale Golf Course.
The Generals (6-1 IVC) were led by medalist Ty Davis with 37 while Seth Finton scored 39. Dillon McPherson was right behind with 40 while Howie Young shot 41.
Caden Bonar led Strasburg (2-5 IVC) with 40.
CV beats Nctown
WEST LAFAYETTE - Led by medalist Andy Cooper, Conotton Valley got by Newcomerstown 188-195 in Inter-Valley Conference golf play Tuesday at Hickory Flats.
Cooper carded 41 and had assistance from Brandon Busby (46), Zach Belknar (48) and Troy Yosick (53).
Newcomerstown (2-10, 0-7 IVC) was led by Boss Gibson who shot 43. Jared Brooks followed with 48 while Zack McKibben added 50 and Cody Sproat fired 53.
Braves defeat New Phila
WEST LAFAYETTE Indian Valley defeated New Philadelphia in a non-conference dual match at River Greens on Tuesday, 168-180.
Shawn Mills picked up medalist honors to lead the Braves (7-9) as he fired 38. Brenna Rentsch shot 42; Bret Penick had 43; and Mitchell Lehigh finished with 45.
Andy Cornell led the Quakers (7-2) with 41.
Pirates defeat Generals
WEST LAFAYETTE The Lady Generals were defeated by the Lady Pirates on Tuesday, 211-230 at River Greens.
Ridgewood was led by Paige Lane, who fired 40 on her way to medalist honors. Michelle Fellows carded 48 Mackenzie Kistler had 69 and Amanda Matchett finished with 73.
Elle Gebhardt and Katie Troyer each had 51 for Garaway (6-7).
