GNADENHUTTEN Indian Valley destroyed Fairless on senior night, 48-14, in a PAC-7 matchup on Friday.

The Braves ruled the ground game with 360 rushing yards on 41 attempts. Senior Dusty Byers accounted for 122 yards on just 12 carries while scoring three touchdowns. Freshman Jake Davis was right behind with 117 yards on 11 rushes while crossing the goal line twice.

Quarterback Kyle Lehigh was 3-for-6 for 38 yards and no interceptions.

Fairless managed 188 yards through the air with quarterback Hunter Wells hitting on 16-of-26 passes with no interceptions and one TD. Brandon Hogue pulled in eight of those completions for 108 yards. The Falcons (2-6, 1-4 PAC) could only manage 43 stripes on the ground on 20 attempts for 231 yards of total offense.

The game started normally enough with the Braves (5-3, 4-1 PAC) taking a first quarter 7-0 lead thanks to a seven yard run by Byers.

The floodgates opened on the Falcons though in the second quarter as Indian Valley piled up 34 points to take a 41-0 halftime lead. Scores came from Byers on runs of 32-yard and 6-yards, Davis on runs of 38 and 19 yards, and senior Dominic Bell on a 1-yard dive.

The Braves got one more score in the fourth quarter on a 15-yard scamper by Logan Ryan. Konnor Cool added the teams four extra points on the night.

Fairless scored both of its touchdowns in the fourth period as Wes Yoder bulled in from the one while sophomore quarterback Hunter Wells hit Brandon Hogue on a 23-yard pass play.

The Braves led in first downs, 15-11. The Falcons lost one fumble while the hosts did not lose any.

Indian Valley next travels to Tuslaw on Friday with kickoff at 7 p.m.
