The Newcomerstown High boys and girls were victorious in a triangular track meet against Inter-Valley Conference foe Malvern and none-conference Conotton Valley.
The Trojan boys scored 112 points followed by Malvern with 25 and Conotton Valley with 24. The Lady Trojans posted a team total of 96 points followed by Malvern with 49 and Conotton Valley with 38.
Individual winners for the Newcomerstown boys were Trae Garlando in the 100-(12.5) and the 200 (24.3); Derek Stamets in the 1600 (5:08.0), the 800 (2:20.1) and the long jump (18-4); Callen Mozena in the 400 (59.5), Triatan Durr in the discus (108-6), David Marburger in the shot put (38-6) and Bret Burrier in the pole vault (11-0).
The 4x100 relay team of Bryan Patrick, Burrier, Garlando and Cody Hall won in 47.4; the 4x200-meter relay squad comprised of Erik Hayhurst, Marburger, Chase Eggleston and Julian Balajadia won in 1:49.1; the 4x400-meter team of Mozena, Ryan Webster, Kyle Pritchard and Eggleston turned in a winning time of 4:08.9; and the 4x800-meter relay team (Stamets, Daniel Lovernic, Pritchard and Hall) completed the sweep of the relays with a winning time of 9:29.8.
Individual winners for the Lady Trojans were Ashley Wheeler in the 110 hurdles (19.1), Jocilyn Lenhoff in the discus (81-7), Erin Burrier in the high jump (4-6), Krista McVey in the shot put (30-5.25) and Cydney McMillan in the pole vault (10-0).
The Lady Trojans also won both the 4x400-meter and 4x800-meter relay races. The 4x400 team of Alexes Sanders, Paige McMullen, Amanda Perkins and McKaila Goodwin turned in a winning time of 4:53.7 and the 4x800 squad of Goodwin, Perkins, Anna Voraberger and Sanders claimed the win in 12:28.7.
