NEWCOMERSTOWN -- The Ridgewood Generals had little trouble with home standing Newcomerstown Trojans in volleyball action Monday, winning by scores of 25-8, 25-14, 25-22.

Leading the way for the Generals 5-0 was Erika Micheal with 13 points, 5 aces, 14 digs and dished out 36 assists.

Laura Frazee and Amanda Lowery combined to total 26 points and 20 kills and Laura Crawford contributed 15 kills and 13 digs.

Also leading was Allie Dobson and Cora Thompson contributing four blocks, eight digs and 10 kills.

The Trojans 1-7 were led by Lydia Lehman defensively with 10 digs and Alisha Moore with seven assists.

Karlee Peach and Erin Barrier contributed six points, seven assists and two points, six kills respectively.

Sara Miller added six points and Alyson Rexroad contributed four kills and eight digs.


SUGARCREEK-- The Ridgewood Generals powered passed home standing Garaway in volleyball action Tuesday by scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-19.

The Generals 6-0 were led by Erika Micheal who had six points and dished out 28 assists, Laura Frazee tallied 15 points, seven kills, and five digs.

Amanda Lowery added 11 points, four aces and six kills and Allie Dobson contributed six kills and three blocks.

Cora Thompson led with seven points, two aces and seven digs.

Defensively, the Generals were led by Laura Crawford and Morgan Mcdorman who combined for 35 digs and 14 kills.


GNADENHUTTEN -- Still playing without the services of junior hitter Ashley Reynolds, the host Indian Valley Lady Braves had little trouble besting Manchester on Tuesday by scores of 25-17, 25-18. 25-14.

Still nursing a sprained ankle, Reynolds' is expected back soon, but her mates did more than pick up the slack.

Leading the Indian Valley (3-7, 3-2 PAC) effort was Sydney Kandray, who provided 16 assists and 16 digs to the winning effort. Teammates Devin Bell and Taylor Williams combined for 18 kills.

For Manchester (2-5, 1-5 PAC), Micayla Bryant had 11 kills and 11 digs and setter Allie Richmond finished with 16 assists.


WOOSTER -- Visiting Indian Valley High was no match for Triway in Thursday evening PAC volleyball action, dropping a 25-8, 25-13, 25-22 decision.

The leading stat producers for the Lady Braves were Devin Bell with a half dozen kills, Bailey Stull with six assists along with Stef Risher with nine digs.

MAGNOLIA -- Visiting Newcomerstown High dropped an Inter-Valley Conference volleyball decision to Sandy Valley by scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-20.

For Sandy Valley (6-4, 5-1 IVC), Victoria Eyster had 20 kills and 22 digs while setter Riley Bowling had 16 assists.

Newcomerstown (1-8. 1-5 IVC) was led by Alyson Rexroad with six points (two aces), 11 kills and 15 digs. Alicia Moore dished out 14 assists and Lydia Lehman collected 16 digs.

NEW PHILADELPHIA --Visiting Ridgewood High knocked off Tuscarawas Central Catholic in five games, winning by 25-10, 17-25, 25-23, 20-25 and 18-16 scores.

The Lady Generals (7-0) had several players contribute, including Laura Crawford with 17 kills and 39 digs; Laura Frazee with 11 points, 13 kills and six digs; Erika Micheal with 70 assists, 10 points and 12 digs; Morgan McDorman with 29 digs; Amanda Lowery with six points, five kills and five digs; and Allie Dobson with six kills.


NEWCOMERSTOWN -- It was a clean sweep for the Newcomerstown High Lady Trojans over Harrison Central High in non-league volleyball action.

The Lady Trojans rolled to the home victory by scores of 25-16, 25-22 and 25-11 to improve to 2-8 on the season.

Alyson Rexroad led NHS with 13 kills, 11 points, eight aces and 28 digs, while Lydia Lehman chipped in with 19 digs and eight points. Erin Burrier finished with six kills and Alicia Moore handed out 21 assists in the win for the Lady Trojans.
